Artistic Innovation 5 explores several thematic themes, including analogous and complementary colors; symmetry, asymmetry, rhythm, and pattern; and a review of various artistic movements, including Cubism, Surrealism, and Hyperrealism. The final experience addresses general aspects of artistic perspective. To unleash students’ creative potential, this book emphasizes methods such as negation, the random method, the combination method, and the analogical method, among others. At the end of each experience, assessment tools such as comparison charts and image reading are used to demonstrate the appropriation of concepts.

Training purpose: To train individuals capable of feeling, perceiving, thinking, expressing and proposing original artistic compositions applying methods.

Thematic pillars are explored in each of the four Experiences through four essential questions:

Experience 1: What are the personal and social benefits of being creative? What does it take to be creative?

Experience 2: Is color fundamental in artistic expression, and why? What kind of emotions and feelings can color evoke?

Experience 3: How much influence does the artistic style or movement have on an artist? What artistic style or movement do you most identify with? why?

Experience 4: What would happen to academic drawing, architecture and design, if the Perspective method did not exist?
